Lodge 902 in Hood River: The Perfect Off-Site Space for Your Team

Hiya! Sasquatch here. Squatch for short.

I write about Lodge 902 whenever I’m not in the woods playing ‘hide and seek’ with humans.

Do you need a unique space for your team at work (4-16 people) to think up new ideas, set goals and connect? A comfortable, unique off-site place that’s close to Portland, Oregon?

Lodge 902 in Hood River is it.

Just an hour from the city and forty-five minutes from PDX (Portland International Airport), Hood River is one of the state’s quaintest and hippest towns. It’s known for its exceptional restaurants, breweries and wineries, and is a mecca for windsurfers, hikers, skiers and snowboarders.

The gorgeous drive to Hood River from Portland runs along the Columbia River Gorge which divides Washington State from Oregon.

Each of the Lodge’s six bedrooms is uniquely and professionally decorated, and each has its own bathroom with tubs and showers.

When you enter your dates on the Airbnb listing, your quote will be for the six bedrooms. There are two additional apartments available if you need them. They stay locked if you don’t.

We rented the entire lodge for a retreat and it was perfect! The en-suite bathrooms for each room is what really sold us and the availability of two extra “apartments” if our group grew in size, which it did.

Seating for ten here, plus an adjacent sunroom with seating for six.

When it’s time to relax and play, Lodge 902 has three floors and several spaces for your group to spread out, plus a cabinet full of games, a life-size Wall Scrabble board and a record player with several albums. There’s even an old-school video console with 45 games. Perfect for contentious Pac Man and Frogger tournaments.

“Excellent! The Lodge had everything we needed for an enjoyable corporate retreat. Every bedroom had a dedicated bathroom, and there was plenty of common space for us to meet, eat and play games. Highly recommend! Easy booking, very flexible host considering our changing headcount, and great communication.”

The veranda overlooks the Columbia River. An ideal rocking and sipping spot for coffee in the morning and cocktails at night.

The lodge was a comfortable, clean, and cozy place for our large group. We loved the thoughtfully decorated rooms and cool nooks to hang out.

A selection of wigs, hats and glasses awaits your team members in the tiny selfie booth.

For big groups, there’s not a better place to stay in Hood River. It’s super unique and fun with lots of space for everyone. We’re definitely going to stay again next time we go to Hood River with a big group.
